To get the Grosgrain word out, I've decided to try something new and radical with this blog. We'll see how it goes. The plan is....on a semi-regular basis (approx. once a week)....I will raffle the clothes that I create to visitors who leave links on their blog THAT LINK BACK TO THE GIVEAWAY POST.
To leave a link all you have to do is:
1) Click on "Links to this Post" at the bottom of the post beside the "comments" link.
2) It will take you another page with a "create a link" button at the bottom of the page. Click on that.
3) Create a link.
And voila. You're done.
I can see who's created a link and will choose randomly from those who have.
I will then post the winner's name and blog at the top of the post a week after it has been listed.
I'm guessing that I won't have a slew of posters, at least for now, so if you link, you might actually have a sporting chance of winning something!
I'll then get your address and send you the piece courtesy of Grosgrain:)
What do you all think of this? Neat idea? Not so much? Please let me know. I'd like to get your thoughts.
Do you like my clothes? Do you want them for....free?!

I think it's a good idea if you are trying to drum up business. I'm very surprised you don't get people posting on this site and your other site. I check out both but I like how you promote the other one on this site.
Silly question, are you trying to drum up business? Or just empty out closet space?
Have a good weekend.
To be honest, I love the feedback that the readers give. I can't get enough. I'm not getting any money out of it, in fact I'm losing the cost of the fabric, shipping and of course my time. But to me (and the way I justify it to my significant other) is that it is an exciting hobby. I would never want to sell the clothes. My seamstress skills are so subpar. Giving them away is less pressure but still exciting.
am I overlooking the "link to this post" link? I can't seem to find it? Anyhow, the clothes you design are amazing and I'd be honored to have a little slice of Grosgrain goodness!
okay, nevermind. I figured it out :) I just created a link, too.
it's my 1st visit to your site and your kids clothes are adorable. inspires me to get a sewing machine for my upcoming birthday! :) thanks for sharing your creativity and giving us this opportunity.
Ooh, I love this idea and will create a link now.
Well your skills maybe below par but the presentation and your designs are fantastic. I would be willing to buy if you sold patterns. But I understand it gets more stressful once you make the leap to selling!
Um, I have a question-I click "create a link" and it takes me to what looks like the dashboard for Blogger. Can I just mention this contest on my blog and put in a link to this post instead? :)

I am out of my mind in love with what you create. Ever dream about making a little somethin' somethin' for twin girls? 2nd birthday party? ...no pressure or anything.
I still can't believe you give this stuff away. You are truly talented. I also have to tell you - I'm 5'2" but I'm a size 12! So count your blessings! I would love to be a size 2 (I know - everybody has something and the grass is not always greener...) You're adorable.
